Explanation writing - Why is the sea salty ?
Wednesday 31 August 2016
Why is the sea salty?
Seventy percent of the world is covered in water. Most of the water is salty. Why is the ocean salty?
In the explanation I will provide you with many reasons. The salt comes from the soil and rocks on the land. When it pours down with rain the water flows through the rocks. The rock contain chemical called salt. Much of the water flows into the river. Then next, the water flows into the ocean.
On a hot day the water evaporates from the sea to form clouds. When the water evaporates,it leaves the salt behind.
Over millions of years salty water has been flowing through rivers into oceans. That’s why the sea is salty.
Reflection:This felt a bit too easy but I liked doing explanation writing because it's fast.
